Datex-Ohmeda, Inc: Quality in Anesthesia Medicine.

Datex-Ohmeda, Inc. was founded in 2006. In 2003, GE Healthcare acquired the Datex-Ohmeda division of Instrumentarium, which manufactured anesthesia, ventilation and monitoring equipment. The Datex Ohmeda brand remained popular in the market and is still used on some GE equipment. GE has continued to develop these product lines, and it appears that GE is reducing the prevalence of the brand in favor of its own on newer models.

One area where GE certainly maintains the brand pre-eminently is its range of anesthesia machines. GE's latest Avance and Aisys ranges still proudly bear the brand on the front of the machine.
