IntelliVue MX400: a Reliable and Connected Mobile Monitoring Solution
The Philips IntelliVue MX400 is a patient monitor designed to support healthcare professionals in dynamic and demanding hospital environments. Combining compactness and robustness, it is suitable for use at the patient's bedside as well as during intra-hospital transport, thanks to its integrated handle and battery operation. Its ergonomic design and ability to integrate into mobile workflows make it an asset in emergency departments, procedure rooms, intensive care and intermediate care.
The 9-inch touchscreen offers intuitive readability with an interface common to the entire IntelliVue range, making it easy for healthcare teams to use. Thanks to its ambient light sensor, the display automatically adjusts its brightness to ensure optimal viewing comfort, regardless of the light intensity in the room. This makes it particularly suitable for neonatal units, where the lighting environment must be precisely controlled.
The MX400 can accommodate multi-parameter measurement modules such as the IntelliVue X3 or MMX, for scalable monitoring according to the patient's level of acuity. It also allows monitoring of parameters specific to newborns, such as transcutaneous gases or data from neonatal warmers, with established compatibility via the IntelliBridge EC10 interface interface (optional).
In terms of IT integration, the MX400 facilitates connection to electronic patient records (EPR/EMR) by generating a unified HL7 data stream that integrates both monitor measurements and connected medical devices. In the event of a network connection loss, data is stored locally for up to 8 hours and then automatically transferred as soon as the connection is restored, ensuring continuity of documentation.
In terms of security, this monitor includes essential cybersecurity features: network data encryption, user authentication, defined permissions and file system encryption. It is also designed to comply with infection control protocols: no hard drive, passive cooling without fans, smooth surfaces and materials compatible with tested disinfectants.
The combination of clinical performance, integration flexibility and hygiene-oriented design makes the IntelliVue MX400 a reliable and durable device for any hospital monitoring strategy.
